Omg, if one more person describes me as Superman with boobs, I'm going to Hulk Smash them all. ... I KNOW I'M NOT THE HULK, CLARK, SHUT UP.
So, who on here likes comics? Anyone? Enough toooooo... maybe say, work part time in a really cool comic store? Stellar Comics could really use the help, so if you're at all fictionally inclined or just really love comics, you should drop off a resume at the store! It's located in Manhattan, we're in the book. For extra incentive, you'd also get to work with a team of really awesome Super ladies and when the store gets slow we sometimes have red vine eating contests.

So I finally bit the bullet and read the first issue of the new 52 Superman Action Comic that I had been dreading. It wasn't... that bad? I actually kind of liked it. It was really weird to see Clark in his younger years again. It was weird for him too, and even weirder considering this entire reboot means a reboot of his story that's already been told, and he and Lois don't even know each other now. I know I was just as pissed as all the other fans at the undoing of Lois and Clark's marriage, and still am, but his marriage to Lois isn't really what Superman's about, right? It's only part of his story and who he is, and I'm pretty sure it'll be a part of his story again later on down the line. But people are totally missing the point if that's the only thing they're mad about. Superman is about being a hero in the face of all the odds and doing what's right no matter what. Making a difference in the world and saving people who need saving, that's what Superman is. And if that's the sort of role model I've been blessed with, then I can only hope to make my own foot steps in his that way. Just some random food for thought of the day! Superchick, out. |

You know, being an orphan, the holidays can be kind of sad without any family to spend it with. Even going to visit my grandparents is always kind of depressing, since the only Christmas they can have is the one everyone's given to them in the home.
For the past couple years though, it's been easy for me to forget that I don't have any parents or siblings, or any blood family to spend Christmas with. Maybe that's because you guys are basically my family, my real family. I wouldn't want to spend today with anybody else. I love you guys. Thanks for being Super. |
